Mark Hamlet is an established Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon for the Midlands, operating from Queens hospital in Burton, the Nuffield Derby and Little Aston hospital in Sutton Coldfield.
He has over twenty years of orthopaedic experience and offers an extensive range of shoulder and knee surgery procedures ranging from arthroscopic (keyhole) procedures up to Knee and Shoulder replacement.
He trained at Charing Cross and Westminster medical Schools in London
and
Qualified as a doctor in 1987.Following this he trained on the NorthWest Thames orthopaedic training programme.
As a senior trainee he had Fellowship training in Berne, Switzerland in shoulder and hip surgery under Dr. R Hertel and Prof. R Ganz respectively
He now works as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Burton. Special interests
Shoulder and knee arthroscopy( keyhole ) and open surgery including repair of the acromioclavicular joint and anterior cruciate ligament repair, meniscal repair and resection, sub acromial decompression and stabilization procedures for instability and dislocation.
Also has interest in fractures and sports injuries and lectures and teaches regularly on a nationally recognised fracture course
